This is my second trad lead ever, and the first time I did it without my friend/instructor...

This route can be found on the north eastern portion of Moss Island. It's got one of the coolest roof sections I've ever seen outside. If your anywhere near little falls you should deffinitly check it out.

This problem can be found on the northern side of Moss Island, towards the middle. Its a pretty straight forward problem. I would say it is probably an easy V3 or so. The last two moves are really fun.

Welcome to the wonderful world of 5.11. The classic Little Falls 5.11 line, crimpy, sustained, and overhung the whole way; this is my favorite route @ Moss Island.

Fred P is my favorite route on Moss Island. The lower crux is the only part that's harder without shoes; the rest of the holds are big enough that it doesn't matter.

Photo taken at Moss Island in Little Falls, NY, near Utica. For Cornell climbers this is about a 2 hour drive away from Ithaca. This is the main section of the wall. Top ropes can be set up farily easily by walking up the back side near lock.

Tough part is getting around the corner.

Once around the corner the top overhanging section is very juggy.

Moss Island classic, HJG sometimes known as Bow Now. Mary Giehl pulls the ovehang to an often dirty sloper. The area is know a Profile Rock at the island. The chin and nose are visable above.
