Nice afternoon climb. See route description for Diablo Diamante - South East Passage. Long pants, long sleeve shirt recommended for the "meat grinder" final pitch!

Very cool line on this wild looking boulder. I used a small cam to protect moves to the first bolt.

Kole styled the route ground up; super rock and great location make this an awesome squeeze. Next to it was a scary looking 12" crack to OW roof. Looking for takers. Kole took on olympus digital 022806.

An awesome route up a steep dike made this a fine objective for this trip. We finished this line in two days. Sonso45 took on olympus digital 021106.

The day was very windy and that made the cold really bite. Still, they looked like they were having fun. The first ascent was a sight to behold. The route continue up and left on the steeper dike. Sonso45 took on olympus digital 021206.

NE Face of MDM Dome

Average Rating = 3.00/5 NE Face of MDM Dome

We had fun going up this line. We found a line of bolts on the slab next to the crack we intended to climb. After that, we just headed up weaknesses and wide stuff to the top. Great day.

Melinda cruises the 3rd pitch in a sea of quartz monzonite.

Average Rating = 3.00/5 Melinda cruises the 3rd pitch in a sea of quartz monzonite.

We saw a crack system going up and we also found a bolted slab to start. Nice rock and interesting moves make this a fun outing. Not bad for blind luck, we walked up and found a 600' face. No idea if it had been done before. We found no anchors at all on top. Fun day. Sonso45 took on olympus digital 011306.

Melinda just passing the crux on some rough rock.

Average Rating = 2.00/5 Melinda just passing the crux on some rough rock.

I thought it was going to be easier, the angle was deceptive and the rock was very grainy. Still, it was an awesome crack. Sonso45 took on olympus digital 011106.

Average Rating = 2.00/5 First ascent, Memorial Day weekend, 1993

Most of this route is pretty grungy, but it's got a nice exit crack at the top. This is in the Tourist Trap area, a north facing wall uphill & to the right of Aviator Wall

We call it Grimace.

Average Rating = 3.00/5 We call it Grimace.

As we were driving through Christmass Tree pass, we came across a large mouth shaped boulder. We call it Grimace after the famed McDonald's character it resembles. Chalk marks inside the mouth were evidence that we weren't the first to consider climbing here. Rock_diva poses.
