This is the Right side crag of Huntington Ravine off the northeast flank of Mt Washington, NH. The climbs from left to right are Diagonal (behind short rock butress, diagonals left out of view. The start is marked by the ice slabs and bulges on the left), Yale Gully, (the beginning is marked by the ice slabs in the center with the climbers on it), Damnation Buttress (mixed climbing right of Yale), and the Beginning of Damnation angling right.

Damnation is the longest gully in the huntington ravine, and while not technically difficult, it is a beautiful climb with tremendous views. Beware of ice dams!

Across from Mt. Washington is Carter Notch which contains a boulder field of enormous potential. Problem is it is a 2 hr hike from Pinkham Notch.

Alex leading first pitch on pinnacle. Main problems started when we realized we had to get down, after 5 pitches, at 3 pm and with 90mph winds ignoring our crampons and our will power...

This was a trip up to the top of Washington in the winter of 2001. These guys were cold - visibility on the summit was about 5 feet.

This was taken halfway up Washington - the wind had carved these patterns in the ice. Unfortunatly the quality of this scan destroys the subtelty of the ice, but it still looks cool.

A late December ascent of Mount Washington took darkside and two friends up through Huntington Ravine via Central Gulley and on to the summit late in the day. A good (and almost free) feast of ribs, chicken, nachos, and beer awaits them back in the valley later.

Pinnacle gets pretty fat in late season. This day there was very little snow anywhere on the route.
