This is such a fun route. However i have never been able to get past the last few feet. It gets harder as you move left. Hopefully i will get it soon

Vicky shows the boys how its done on Helicopter (V5), a boulder problem that is right on the main trail, yet few know of its existance.

Brian wears his helmet all the time. Maybe it was just because I was above, trying not to kick tons of leaves and twigs on him.

As far as I know this is an unnamed problem on the far left side of Butcher's Block. I'm sure many have climbed on it. It goes right a couple of feet through a series of side pull crimps and a mono-digit intermediate sloper before you hit a nice flake then push up and left through a sloper to the top. I would be interested in knowing if this is a named route, and if so, what is the rating? Photo by: Juan Castro.

Moving right through this finished but unnamed (?) route. The next move is a bounce right to a mono-digit intermediate and then bounce again to a flake. Photo by: Juan Castro.

This was a cool problem we worked on for a while at the Roadside Rocks area. This was on unnamed steep boulder 30-50 yards past Butcher's Block. Photo by: Juan Castro.

I think I drew first blood, and then everyone else followed in stride. Many drops were left behind.
