Here's my back after taking a fall on the 4th(?) bolt. I was left of the arete while the bolt is on the right. Fell, legs hit the arete, swung around so my head and back hit the wall. Nasty. Worked on it with a helmet, then sent RP (without helmet). I've been careful on aretes ever since. (btw, this was in 2004. Just posted it again for someone who asked.)

Really, what is there to describe? There's a rock, a climber, some trees, and some sky. Apparently a photo on rc.com is worth 1040 words?

A fun route which keeps you working all the way to the end. Lots of fun

Was "highly recommended" to wear a helmet on putting it up. All due to a previous experience (falling, swinging, banging posterior head, and scratching up the back). If you were near there, you must remember me. A little embrassing. But anyways, I went up again after this one here, and did NOT wear the helmet for my red point. Again, the helmet here, also a little embrassing.

Derek G. (rockinice) on yet another Summersville Lake classic, Jesus Is My License Plate. After a bouldery start, the route features long moves on good holds and an exciting finish. Photo by j_ung.

Over the summer we went to summersville lake to do some of that deep water bouldering stuff. However some of the routes were so good we just couldn't stay in the water. Greg Rueff on Spice, a beautifl route by all standards.

On a trip to summersville the whole crew decided to work spice. This is Scott Hess giving it his go. The picture doesn't show that this man has style.

This is me as I climb the arete on Ingrate (5.9) on Summersville Lake at the New River Gorge, WV 20030621. It was an awesome day as there was rain all summer and this was the first dry day in a while. This route is off the trail so we were grateful it was open.
