Gavin Macrae heads up about pitch 8 of about 10 pitches on the infamous route Joy after being dumped on by a summer rain.

This is about half way up The Shining Path which is somewhat runout but not freaky. There is a huge lake below us called Upper Kananaskis Lake.

Half way up the 600m face of the route The Shining Path(5.7). The huge lake below was used recently for the backdrop in the new X-Men movie.
