This is a pic of my brother on the way to climb spearhead. If it weren't for the damn pika's it would have been a good trip. Their damage will be the next pic!

...or so we thought, being our first trip into RMNP, we didn't know we still had another 1.5hrs and a 1000 vertical feet left to go! DOH The north ridge roughly follows the sun/shade line up the formation.

Here I am in my glory climbing the North Ridge of Spearhead. I can't get enough alpine. I'm dreaming about it right now!

We summated in about 3.5 hours and took about 1 hour to descend. The parties below us and on other routes must have been hating life as the clouds and rain moved in quickly just after we reached our bivy site. What a fun route!

This is Matt(sparky) racking out our gear before our attempt on the Spearhead. We were trying to go ultra-light so he was taking off everything we would not need. This picture turned out better then I expected.

Syke's Sickle is a beautiful alpine route with a little of everything. Here I'm in my element cruising the lower pitches (P4?).
