The Rincon Wall ApproachHere we are surmounting the scree field on the approach to the Rincon Wall. The Rincon Wall provides excellent moderate, short climbs. This picture was taken on a recent, balmy winter day in January 2006.

My first trad 10.Here I am shortly after the crux on the Rincon Wall's Five-Ten Crack. Although the RPs below the crux (not pictured) don't inspire much confidence, I was able to fish in a nice small cam in the crack above the lip. This was my first 5.10 trad lead; and my first 10 trad onsight - woohoo!

Diane on p2 of OTHDiane starting up the 5.9 second pitch of Over The Hill. Super fun thin crack / face climbing on a steep slab. This can also be used as the second pitch for Emerald City (5.9) or Over and Out (5.8), both of which are fun lines.

Over the Hill P1Over the Hill pitch 1 is a great stemming route with an off balance, pin protected crux. P2 looms above and is probably the best 5.9 crack in the Rincon area.

Over and OutOver and Out is in the dihedral area of the Rincon, left of the Over the Hill dihedral. Continue through P2 of Over the Hill to climb the best moderate at the Rincon.

AerospaceAerospace is a heady mixed route high on the Rincon. Delicate moves near the arete provide excellent exposure.
