This is the view from the Italianos route at the Sugar Loaf, Rio de Janeiro: the Guanabara bay with the Corcovado wall on the left.

My partner Antônio in the 5º pith of 'Cavalo Louco' (classic route in the west face of Sugar Loaf). I took the photo from Troglodita variant's route. At the background, a part of the south zone of Rio can be seen (Urca, Copacabana and Ensaeada de Botafogo).

North Face of the Sugar Loaf in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Rio is one the most complete and beautiful urban climbing sites of the world. No kidding. Only in Urca site, one can find hundreds of awesome routes, good quality bouldering and rock.

Overview of Sugar Loaf and Morro da Urca over Botafogo cove. There are lots of nice climbing routes on both. (Vista do Pão de Açúcar e Morro da Urca sobre a enseada de botafogo. Há dezenas de vias de escalada clássicas nas duas montanhas). A good postcard-like inspiration for those who ever thought of a trip to Rio de Janeiro.
