Through the Crux

Average Rating = 0.00/5 Through the Crux

gblauer through the crux on P4 of Crimson Crescent, a Sedona Spire. The traverse under the roof is much harder than Matinee at the gunks!

At the top of Crimson Crescent

gblauer at the top of Crimson Crescent, as Sedona Spire. It was super windy, hence the billowing jacket.

Sonso45 on Crimson Crescent

Average Rating = 0.00/5 Sonso45 on Crimson Crescent

Manny leading P3 on a very blustery day in March. P3 is one of the easier pitches, with decent rock and pro. It takes you to the base of the soaring arch/crescent.

whining at the crux

Average Rating = 0.00/5 whining at the crux

gblauer whining at crux on P4 of the Crimson Crescent. It's hard to see from the photo, but, there are no feet, crappy hands and it's nearly vertical. Once you commit to the moves (getting square on to the face) the holds improve. A very exciting pitch even for a 2nd.

Climbing up the soaring crescent

Average Rating = 0.00/5 Climbing up the soaring crescent

gblauer climbing the namesake of this climb, the crimson crescent. Once you get to the top of the corner, you make a dicey and thin traverse, protected by 4 bolts to the belay. anchor
