With each pitch, the view of Budd lake and the peaks east of Cathedral kept getting better. One cool thing about climbing Cathedral Peak is that by the time you are done, you are looking down at many many neighboring mountains (including half dome in the distance, not in this shot).

I'm half smiling, half grimacing after coming over Cathedral's summit blocks. They scared me... and the rope drag was horrendous. Great day, though!

Alex starting the 3rd pitch of Southeast Buttress. A great climb with fantastic views, as said many times before.

Early in the morning at the end of october. The sun was a nice change from the little bit of snow we had the night before.

Here is one happy Leezerdgirl at the top of Cathedral Peak. You can see the Eichorn Pinnacle behind my left shoulder, which we didn't get to that day (sun was setting and we stumbled the last mile or so to the car with our headlamps against the dark), but which I'd love to return for. Photo taken by the most badass vegetarian ever to serve on Tuolumne SAR, Alex Clayton.

Here's the view from the top of Cathedral, with the tip of Eichorn's Pinnacle visible. Ross has the nice horizon...

Here's me and Ross on the ledge just below the Chimney. Awesome exposure on this climb.

Due to a family on the summit block, parties were backed up 20 feet below the summit. We're watching the party behind us come up from the summit block.

We climbed cathedral with a party we met at the base, and went all the way to the summit. Thanks Will and Jason for taking our pictures. What a view!

The hike to Cathedral peak takes you through forest along Budd Creek as well as along granite slabs, and takes about an hour and a half if you know the way. Here's Ross hiking down the trail, happy to be off the mountain before the afternoon storms!

While driving back to TM camp after our summit, we caught Cathedral Peak in alpenglow. We only had a few minutes to set up the camera for this great shot.

The obligatory "We Made it to The Top" picture. Nice climb up Cathedral Peak, stellar views.

Here's a shot of the Southeast Buttress of Cathedral Peak. It looks pretty awesome from this angle.

The exposure from the top of Cathedral Peak is amazing. Makes it feel like a more difficult climb than it really is.

I could not get my helmet in for a long ways. A little bit of a squeeze.

Meaghan stops to catch her breath on the approach to Cathedral Peak. We went from sea level to the 11,000' summit in 24 hours by car, foot, and rock shoe.
