These are actually my neighbors kids who we took climbing and myself. I got tired of carrying the little one around so we plopped him in the crash pad on our way to the next boulder. He loved it so much he didn't want to come out when it was time to climb.

This is John, a guy I met while climbing at Black Mt., working an un-named v6 with a nice cristal for a thumb cath. The sequence to the problem is to hit the thumb catch/pinch and then right heal hook and lock for a long move to a nice crimp.

A long-standing project. To stick the lip of the dead horizontal lunge, you've got to kill some serious momentum...NOT sticking is what gave the problem its name. Photo taken by Chris Hahn.

For some reason, I tried this route using a bunch of times using the crimp out left... It didn't work out very well.

Start to an unnamed V4 at Black Mountain. Alternatively, you can use a small crimp to the left to start.

Dave, ready to dyno for the sharp slopey lip up top. The left hand pinch is pretty sharp, its hard to let go with your right hand.

The crux move for shorter climbers. She actually has a toe hook on a low rail around the arete so she can hit this move.
