I saw this short route from across the other side of the rock and I thought, "why don't I solo that." so I attempted it but nearly fell towards the top. I completely misjudged the difficulty of this climb and almost ate it, but I didnt. ha.

This is me on my first outside climb at Summit Rock in November 2003. The climb is rated 5.8 but the hardest part was getting used to the extremely cold sandstone. (Hand warmers were hidden in our chalk bags.) Photograph taken by fellow outside rock virgin, John.
