Going for the sloper at the crux of the bowling pin route. The hold isnt quite as bad as it looks.

My favorite problem in the milks...only v1, but the best v1 in the west! Add the sit start for extra points! Photo credit to Lauren B.

"V1 crimps to flake" on Rowell Rocks in the Central Area of the Buttermilks. Those guys are "helping" guide me down the pretty high boulder. Thanks guys....Ended up down climbing. Maybe I should have done what it says online "Always check descents before climbing".

V1 problem at the Central Area of the Buttermilks. This was the first time I went to Bishop, and I had no idea what any of the routes were. Awsome bouldering, amazing rock and boulder sizes!

Fairly easy but reachy to the right- it's been a while- don't exactly remember it- the other side of Tut has some really cool friction-slab problems

This is two moves into the Buttermilk Stem. God I still have permanent pock marks on my palm just trying to get to here. Which is why I was disappointed to see this picture in which I could be standing on the GROUND for all you know. Then I saw the focus on the tendons in my hand and shucks, the picture kinda grew on me.

Matt Durnin on an unnamed slab problem at the buttermilks in Bishop CA. Using a telephoto lens, i compressed the depth of the frame making it look like the mountains were very close.

On a strange summer afternoon in some unpredictable Sierra weather, I cought a few fainstroms within the cloud cover. The setting sun hit this one just right.

We were driven to higher elevation during the midday sun in Bishop. We found this secluded spot only 10 feet from a dirt road near South Lake.
