my first trip to the Gorge, and cruising alright on this 5.8. So many routes to climb.....

Chris Werner reaches for a nonexistent crimp on Return to Forever, 5.12a, at the Social Platform in Owens River Gorge.

An excellent climb which starts of with some crack leading to a cool dihedral with some powerful and technical moves to transition to pull a small roof up top. Well worth doing.

All the flowers were blooming and had vibrant colors. (June 4th 2006)

I passed this very small baby Rattle snake on the trail out. It was soo cool and small with a tiny rattle.

This is Elan on High Seas (i think) our first climb in the gorge. We all have decided that if you had to describe the gorge in 2 words they would be f***in' steep!

A great way to avoid waiting for your route. The longest .8 i've ever been on thats for sure!

Almost to the top on the longest sport route i've climbed. Wish i had a 70' rope!

This is my kids first time climbing at the Gorge... he's 6 months old. He must love climbing, as he tasted all the gear, and only went for seconds on the shoes !

This climb was pretty technical. Had some intesresting moves on some rather somewhat water polished rock, making it somewhat difficult to kepp them rubber shoes on tiny holds. Overall neat climb.

This is me at Warmup Wall on Humbly, Mumbly, Jumbly a 10b. Cool route with an interesting bottom crux.

We didn't have shoes that fit my friend so he climbed barefoot for the day. Owens got some good jugs for footholds. This route is some 5.8 on the Great Wall of China.

I'm just moving past the third bolt and out of the crux section of Abitarot during my onsite.

I'm clipping the fourth bolt of Abitarot during my onsite. It isn't apparent in this picture due to foreshortening, but there's a healthy distance between the third and fourth bolt on this route.

A definite 4 star 10b. Technical face with 7 bolts to a nice juggy roof, just like the guidebook says!
