Big whipper on AtlantisSome french dude taking a huge flight on Atlantis's 2nd pitch (Needles, CA, July 4th), for the 4th time in a row, while going the flake (top of pic). It appears to be a barndooring finger lieback crux. His blue alien, the only piece, a 1/4 sec after this shot will be shot out of the crack and fall into oblivion (how did it get unclipped?!)... The belayer will kiss the wall, and the rope will stretch on a nice factor 2 fall. Can you say "aaaah-[breathe] -aaaaah"?

Becca styles up Don Juan's cruxGreat lead and smooth moves by Becca as she lead up the crux second pitch. Sheana belays as we admire. Becca was so smooth, I later found out how hard it really felt. Sonso45 took on nikon digital 062405.

I fell on Don Juan's crux just before the shot. The pro was great, lot of nuts and small stuff. All the pitches were stellar climbs and very demanding. I lead both 11 pitches and loved them both. I whipped on both but got thru. Great people all about. Seana watches below as Brad M. belays. Becca took on nikon digital 062405.

Removing slack as Holden ascends the 2nd pitch of the brilliant Don Juan WaHolden H. nears the 5.11 crux on the 2nd pitch of the burly Don Wall, another incredible line on the Sorcerer, while Vern S. removes slack out of the system from the belay anchors. The photo was taken by Tara S. near the ridge between the Sorcerer and Witch Needle.

Nearing the top of the third pitch of Wailing BansheesWailing Banshees is another stellar climb on the Sorcerer that begins below Scirocco. Cruxy face moves right off the ground lead to a huge dihedral that is climbed for almost three pitches. Another 5.11 crux move is encountered on the second pitch in a steep section of the dihedral. Vern S. nears the top of the third pitch as the sun wanes in the west. Photo was taken by Holden Harris from the ridge between the Sorcerer and the Witch Needle.

Thin Ice keeps going...A better shot of the route than climbers. I'm leading the second and third (I ran them together) pitch of Thin Ice(10b)and Ron is belaying. It was taken by a cool and unknown climber with my partner's camera from the notch. I cropped this shot wrong the first and hope it's better showing more rock.

Thin Ice and AtlantisStephen and Mei Ling on Thin Ice, Matt R and Mike K on Atlantis. They all had lots of fun visiting from Taiwan. I lead the to the top from the first pitch and found very exciting climbing off the belay in the flare.

Thin Ice on the East Face of The SorcererThin Ice (5.10b) is the vertical line that runs right up the middle of the east face of The Sorcerer. One of the best 5.10bs on the planet. Steep.
