Ran into some people who agreed to climb with me the one day I was in the city. They recommended this route, and I wasn't disappointed!

I took this picture through a small window in the rock right near Tribal Boundaries. I believe that the small cave with the window was made by the wind passing through the small valley. Very cool and inspiring.

This is a shot of me doing the classic "Tribal Boundaries" at City of Rocks. Every time I do the climb it keeps getting better.

Cool climb - I think everyone who climbs at the city gets on this one. We figured we better conform.

This climb is about 150 feet to the right of Tribal Boundaries. It's a skin stealer!

It took us four times to get on this climb. We got lost, there was a line, thunder and rain and finally a chance to climb. Only did first pitch. A bit awkward traverse. This is Scott following the pitch.

Photo of me clipping bolts on Tribal Boundaries, 5.10a, Flaming Rock. Great sustained route. No real crux, just a lot of balance required. Lots of high steps and hand-foot matching. Photo by Sarah Cronk, 2002.

At the top jug haul. Quite fun here. Some of the bolt hangers are old school leepers but the rest have been replaced. Could use some new chains.

Mick, a truly badass photographer just so happened to be rapping right next to me, camera in hand,
