This is my roommate Matt. He helped my get into trad climbing and this was one of my first routes, Skyline. This is a photo of him climbing the spire, a very fulfilling climb with beautiful views.

Unknown Party on Skyline (I think) on Morning Glory Spire at City of Rocks in Idaho, August '04. Visible on the right side are Bath Rock (closer) and the Twin Sisters (further).

In 1997, I attempted to lead Crack of Doom and got totally destroyed on the climb. I returned this last summer to set things straight. This is the most aesthetic crack I have ever seen. Photo by Ron Long.

here is a picture of me doing crack of doom in city of rocks. It was my (at the time) hardest trad lead. It took several tries to redpoint the route over several trips as it was a four hour drive to get there.

Here's a shady shot of MG Spire. The crack that is Skyline can be seen on the right of the face.
