Figure it out in time

Average Rating = 3.50/5 Figure it out in time

A personal project for next time is to get my leg up higher and reach for that unknown hold as the topout looks cake, right behind camp #15 near the toilet.

Silly and scratchy

Average Rating = 0.00/5 Silly and scratchy

Remarkable feature from Practice Rock(at left); start on the left and traverse the top rail on scruffy rock and crumbling feet.

Super stellar moves

Average Rating = 0.00/5 Super stellar moves

O.K., everybody should go do this after supper even if bouldering ain't fun to you, because it will be once you topout. SS, go up double flop leg and hand over the overhung lip and get nice crimps to top.See the round yellow protrusion above my right hand, manteling up to that is heaven on the sensory organs! Found behind camp # 20/25, where a row of many good problems exist.

Only doable line is pain

Average Rating = 3.33/5 Only doable line is pain

Great looking alone rock behind camps #20/25 where a row of many good problems can be done after supper or a bathroom break. this rock looks great but most of it is overhung blankness or just deteoriating flakes/crumblies, however, try the far right end. Bring a mat! Must make a short jump start as the lower wall is blank, jump to a dark vertical juggy crack that will suck up your forearm, then grovel like a pig up on bad slopers-I have a permanent scar from this route, bring bandages!

While the bacon fries

Average Rating = 0.00/5 While the bacon fries

This unknown low 5th class route goes up a ridge for 100feet from the driveway of campsite #19, likely the best campsite you may ever get-we booked it 2 months in advance.

View to the north

Average Rating = 0.00/5 View to the north

The view above campsite #19 looking north. You can see some dudes in a car at the odd site #23, which is just bizarre.

My dad and his Crib

Average Rating = 3.00/5 My dad and his Crib

#19 site is ours for 4 days. A private driveway and high walls of Practice Rock keep out the ruckus. Good bouldering just above your tent to fool about on in the morning. Can't imagine I will ever see a better campsite. My blue tent is at left. The driveway is as long as what you see to the white van!

First Lead

Average Rating = 0.00/5 First Lead

This was my first actual trad lead. The route, aptly named "First Lead" is in the beautiful City of Rocks. The sky was big and blue that day and I was very pleased. Thanks to Matt Witherspoon for the photo.

View of City of Rocks, ID

Average Rating = 0.00/5 View of City of Rocks, ID

Here's a view of City of Rocks from the top of Practice Rock. Me and Sam had lots of fun here over Labor-Day weekend. We met climbers from all over the world and began to learn the intricacies of Idahoan friction granite.

Sillouette in The City

Average Rating = 2.00/5 Sillouette in The City

This was taken right above our camp. The lighting was perfect the shot. Unfortunately the photo I scanned was quite old so the image is scratched.
