The crux is behind him and Sean can smell the onsight. Or me. Or both. Jam in one crack, stuff cam in another. Good times.

I sat across the canyon watching elvislegs climb Retard's Recess, and wondering when he'd place his first piece. The light was weird and mottled in the late afternoon.

I was able to get several decent shots of Hillary thrashing, errr...climbing on Loose Lips (5.10d). I had fixed a rappel line into the canyon and ascended it as she climbed. Here's a few of the highlights.

Hillary in a desperate moment of frustration decides it may be easier to lay back this damn crack. She quickly realized the folly and went back to jamming.

Jon leading Queenfolia, a nice, pumpy 5.10b. Crux moves are at the brief overhanging flake that Jon is pulling up to. Poor feet for a couple of moves and then nice holds to the top.

**Route is not Paradise Lost** Jon belays Kelly at the top out of Raindance (5.10a). You should have heard the cussing, screaming, grunting, and moaning that was going on while she climbed this thing! I wasn't sure if she was climbing the route or passing kidney stones. ;-P This candid was snapped right as she topped out. You think she looks a little frustrated? Jon doesn't understand what all the fuss was about. Sandbagger.
