Working Steve's Arete during intermittent rain. I couldn't feel the holds but finally got the redpoint before calling it a day.

This was the "warm-up" climb we did. I had recently discovered the sepia feature on my camera, and thought it'd make a nice shot.

I've wanted to get on this for so long, when I finally saw it I was afraid of the onsite(silly) so I worked on TR to learn the holds before getting the redpoint the following day.

This climb is pretty fun for a beginning leader.. takes a few nuts at the bottom and there are two bolts near the top and chains.

Staring toward Tucson on a bluebird autumn day... Hunchback (5.7) is a pretty, if short, moderate mixed route just yards from the mountain's uber-klasik, Steve's Arete. Photo by Hillary Davis.

Steve's Arete (5.11a), possibly the most photographed climb on Mt. Lemmon. Sweet route. Photo by Hillary Davis.

Without a doubt, one of the most beautiful aretes out there. Steves arete packs quite a punch in it short length.

Nathan Kutcher climbing Steves Arete in February 2004. He was shaking out and I had the camera hanging there so I snapped of a pic.

Sweet exposed sport route on Mt. Lemmon. Spent a week there over spring break and got this one after a couple tries.

Always beautiful picture. Although route is really like 40 feet long, it gives an illusion of big wall climbing.
