Kelsey ( Prezwoodz) reaches to make the clip on Oz, 5.11c in the Red River Gorge. Somehow we mistook this for a 5.10c in the guidebook and sandbagged ourselves, but we did alright.

Actually, I meant to post a picture of a snake, but linked the wrong photo... The start of this route had plenty of holds. One pocket in particular looked deep and inviting... but was, alas, out of my reach. I climbed to the side and around it. As i came down and was changing belays with my partner, she, being a few inches taller, contemplated using those pockets herself. But while we were talking about it, out of the biggest one of them came this little baby copperhead. We left her alone, and she did not mind us climbing couple feet away, but I am pretty sure that had I stuck my hand into her cozy home, she would not have been so content.
