Cleaning Crazy Alice...tho this picture needs to be tilted for the "real" view....I like it this way..It makes the climb look "crazzzy" ..haha ; )

Gearing up! This is a photo of me racking up to climb Crazy Alice.

My buddy grabbing for the large hold to proceed over slight overhang.

This is me climbing inside the dihedral while a bat is squeaking from inside the crack.

Great route. Good holds and just when you think you made it past the crux, then you get on the face.

The cracks here are shallow and holds are sloped making a search for the right one a little tricky.

flexibility sure comes in handy in situations like this! I had to toe hook so I could balance enough to yank the cam out.

One of the great partnerships in the Wichitas was formed by Jimmy and Jon. Here's a photo of the first ascent of Critical Mass during the fall of 1978. Jon is leading and he managed to really scrape his arm up on the rough rock inside the crack.

This picture just cracks me up. My right leg looks massive and my face looks horribly bloated!! Climbing pictures are oh-so attractive!

Bren (the guy in my other photos) said I need some pictures of myself on there so here is one of me leading leap frog (10a). the frog was my 5th trad lead i believe and I did it on my nice shiny new gear i just purchased. The picture is of me beginning the long run out to my next piece. where the crack meets the upper part of the left hand side of the picture is where i put my next piece in. I didn't realize i was that far above it until i finished and looked at it on the way down.

Bren on Leapfrog in the Narrows. We stuck around and found the dry stuff that day even though a lot of it was wet, but it was worth it. the weather was gorgeous.

This is bren on leap frog in the narrows. It was a gorgeous day for february but everything was wet. Our persistant route finding payed off when we found that the frog was dry. There is another picture of this as well.

Maury nearing the end of Fantasy Roof on Zoo Wall in the Wichita Mountains. It was unseasonably warm for february so we made sure to take advantage of the beautiful day.

Crazy is a classic 5.8 in the narrows. It was one of my first trad leads.
