There were some fires burning that created the haze in the photo. I like the depth that resulted. Pretty hot that day. Walked out with my first case of heat stroke. Good times.

This was my second ever 11a. I was so happy to toprope this problem and now that I know the sequence I can't wait to get back and do it again.

Bill warms up on a 5.10 at Smith. not sure what the name of this route but it is a great cruise with some good light first thing on a cold morning. Sue is in the background cruising another route.

Blue Light Special is one of the super classic 11a's at Smith. Shipwreck Wall has some of the most beautiful rock in the area.

Ian on the lower crux. With powerful moves off the start and thin technical moves up high. This 100' line atop the Shipwreck wall is a not to be missed 12a at Smith Rock.

This is an awesome climb. I completely recommend it to anyone that can put up 5.11.

I really like this line. It's aesthetic, and the moves are fun and diverse the entire way. The route has a powerful 11 crux low and an endurance finish high. Probably 12a.
