Reed on p4 of McTech Arete

Average Rating = 3.67/5 Reed on p4 of McTech Arete

starting with two parallel, splitter handcracks, into a left facing corner with two roofs this is an amazing 5.9 pitch. Perhaps the most enjoyable of this entirely classic climb.

On the Vowell Glacier headed home from Pigeon Spire

Average Rating = 3.00/5 On the Vowell Glacier headed home from Pigeon Spire

Cliche, but it's the best 5.4 in the universe. The cleanest rock, a rope is very optional (we simuled the whole thing with 4 aliens). The West Ridge is the right hand skyline. Perhaps transcendental.

base area of Dihedrals

Average Rating = 0.00/5 base area of Dihedrals

The bottom of the Dihedrals in Little Falls in April '05, after the "clean up" of the fall train wreck and all vegetation and trees being razed.

Tara on Snow White

Average Rating = 2.00/5 Tara on Snow White

Tara on the opening dihedral of Snow White (at the far left end of the cliff). Fun stemming to an awkward but mellow mantle, then juggy small gunks style overhangs to the top.

Ben setting up to pull over the roof

Average Rating = 0.00/5 Ben setting up to pull over the roof

Ben setting up to pull Satan's Ceiling. More like 5.8 than 5.9 I think. The roof and flake above take great gear on lead...it's the right facing corner in the middle of the route where pro is suprisingly funky. Taken Fall 03. The crack out the roof to his right (with the big seemingly loose but amazingly solid chockstone) is "The Devil May Care" and is slightly easier.

Reed starts the roof pitch of Quadrophenia

Average Rating = 3.33/5 Reed starts the roof pitch of Quadrophenia

Reed leading the first roof at the start of pitch 2 or 3 (depends whether you link the first 2 which is doable) right off the belay. A little fractured in there and the block in the roof itself is certainly hollow but it seems solid enough to pull on. A stellar pitch! Picture taken by Drew Koff
