Cliffs under the bridge

Average Rating = 2.67/5 Cliffs under the bridge

Its September and Summersville lake is low enough to allow access to this beautiful cliff. It will be acessible until about May and then will be surrounded by water again.

Fool's Effect - 135' 5.9 lead!

Average Rating = 3.12/5 Fool's Effect - 135' 5.9 lead!

This climb is amazing, I didn't want it to end! It had everything - starting with a couple of technical vertical moves to some really balancy slab moves to a nice layback crack to juggy overhangs to a small roof. 13 bolts worth of fun!

Leading some 5.9 in Summersville

Average Rating = 3.25/5 Leading some 5.9 in Summersville

Awesome climb, xcept I don't remember its name and don't have the topo around. This is the one to the left of Hippie Girl Dreaming. Has an imposing-looking roof but the crux is actually above that when it comes out at you a bit and all the hand-holds get slopy. Just remember - the stuf for the feet is solid!

Some boulder problem at Hawk's Nest

Average Rating = 3.27/5 Some boulder problem at Hawk's Nest

First time bouldering outside of the gym. It was fun! We had so much trouble reading the topo's that we couldn't figure out which route was which, so we just bouldered on the ones that looked cool.

Cathedral Peak - Tuolumne Meadows

Average Rating = 3.20/5 Cathedral Peak - Tuolumne Meadows

This is the view of Cathedral Peak from the approach - taken May 30th 2001 - it was a brilliant day, my 6th time climbing, and I've never even heard of trad before... made it to the top! (although did leave a bit 'skin and blood out there on the granite)
