one of the best routes at Old Rag- Strawberry Fields (5.9+) goes up 65 ft of perfect granite to a narrow ledge. I reccomend taping up any crack at old rag, but maybe I'm just a wuss like that.

after being rained out of Old Rag, we drove out to Franklin, WV hoping to find some dry spots. The ony dry spots we found we in the caves. later in the afternoon, we did squeeze a few good routes in. L to R Ian, Luke and Chris.

a pic of me falling off of Fast Moving Train. I was about coming off, and my belayer had me on a pretty short rope, so the end result is the harness wedgie as you see it here. hahahaha

heres a shot of the woodie i built in my garage in HighSchool. the shot is looking down from the rafter level. The wall is 6 and a half feet wide and overhangs at 40 degrees. theres a foot and a half tall kick board, then the wall is 10 feet tall, where the verticle board starts which extends another 2 and a half feet. only the pictured side has ply on the arete (the other is access for storage).

A rad V2 coming from the flake you reach way up and slap your palm onto what feels like a beach ball. Climber: Eliezer Silver. Photo: Chris Irwin. climbed in 2000 before access was closed.
