These icicles were hanging right next door to the sickle-shaped one (submitted 25-08-2005) and display the variation amongst these curious creatures.

This beautiful icicle was just asking to be photographed and it has such an awesome backdrop. The water droplet was captured as an added (shear fluke) bonus.

A beautiful, clear day in the Hex with a good sprinkling of snow produced some wonderful colours at sunset.

Sunrises look good in both directions! The full moon looked spectacular setting over the snow-sprinkled Shale Peaks and Buffelshoek Dome in the Hexrivier Mountains.

One of my favourite boulders. Nice and big with a loooong rising traverse. You can hop on and off in most places which of course I had do to get this picture!

This pitch is a spectacular long corner crack. Fantastic climbing up the superb, steep and very imposing Cuckoos Nest Buttress on the Ledge.
