Not sure what the name of this was but it looked amazing. First time at Looking Glass and its features are amazing.

Seth going for the lip of the ledge they were jumping from. He nearly fell here and if he had it would have been quite a rush....probably would have hit rock on the way down to the water from 40 feet.

This was our first trip to Whipperwill for some water soloing. To say it was amazing would be an understatement. There was a ledge about 35 feet from the water that i rapped down too and they all met me there from the water. Extremely good day.

A picture of my friends sitting on the ledge we had been climbing to and they had been jumping from 40 feet above the water. I actually have a picture of me in there too with a timer but i had a shirt on and i thought it took away from it. So i decided to use this one instead. Tired and waiting for the sun to set...

Seth's first lead ever. No falls. He later got half way on Year of the Phsyco Bitch and also the 5.10a at The Gun Wall. I climbed half way up the climb next to it sans rope to get this shot...hopefully it was worth it.

I think that is the name of this problem. Phil Hoffman took this picture at the end of the day. a split second after taking it it, i snapped the hold im going for with my left hand and it nailed me in the eye. we thought i might have actually cut my eye ball because when i initially closed my eye a blood tear came rolling down. i manned up and tried it a couple more times. didn't get it though. maybe next time ill have better luck.

It was the end of the day sometime in march and i had already climbed myself out but was forced onto this against my will. Raw Meat is near the top of Grandmother Mountain. It has a long dynamic move to the hold you see. nice top out though but it was way too cold and windy for my liking to really give it a good go. I didn't do it this day but still came out with a good picture....and really isn't that all that matters? Photo Courtesy of Jonathan Glassberg

I was teaching a route setting clinic in Fayetteville at The Climbing Place and decided to climb at Red Point and also stop by and visit my brother in Wilmington and climb at the new gym there. Climb On! was a fun gym with good workers and this is a photo my brother took of me bouldering a little before heading back to Charlotte. Photo Courtesy of Richard Hedrick

A project at poplar tent boulders. The crimps are tiny and like razor blades. After falling off here, i thought i was going to need stitches in my finger it was bleeding so badly.
