My girlfriend working this great route

Average Rating = 4.00/5 My girlfriend working this great route

It is great to have a climbing girlfriend/partner. She just makes the photo that much better. Perfect conditions for a great photo. All the rain in Southern Cali provided some green to give this photo some life. Some storm clouds around sunset made this just a beautiful day of climbing.

Brotherly love under the towers

Average Rating = 0.00/5 Brotherly love under the towers

I'm the one in the head-lock. My brother and I could see the towers as we ascended from the lower trail. The clouds came through and blocked our view of the tops of the spires. Next time I go to Chile, I'm climbing these towers!

Pulling the roof on this 5.11c

Average Rating = 2.33/5 Pulling the roof on this 5.11c

I don't know the names of any of the climbs at this place, but I have climbed most all of them and I know what they're rated. This is the second pitch to the easy 5.7 at the base. It is a jug fest with a crux at the last bolt. I felt more comfortable hooking double draws at that bolt. This is a photo of me taken by my friend Jon.

My brother and I after summiting

Average Rating = 2.50/5 My brother and I after summiting

We took this photo on our way back to sunrise after summiting the day before. This was the first 4th of July in years with good weather. It was overcast and stormy our first day out, but the next three days were picture perfect.

Another perfect day at J-tree!!

Average Rating = 3.00/5 Another perfect day at J-tree!!

This photo of me was taken a long time ago and I don't have a clue as to which climb I'm on. I would guess it is a 5.8. All I know is that the weather was perfect and we were having fun climbing.

Taking down Jaws the classic way

Average Rating = 2.50/5 Taking down Jaws the classic way

I figured that I had top roped this 5.9 arete enough to do it without a rope. I don't think it was one of my smartest moves. Stupidly I went straight to Jaws and climbed it without warming up. I made it, and I can now tell stories about it.

A little A1 fun!

Average Rating = 2.75/5 A little A1 fun!

I don't remember what this A1 on the north face of Looking Glass was called, but I do remember that it was freezing cold. My friend took this picture of me on the first pitch of this climb.

Way up on the classic pitch

Average Rating = 3.25/5 Way up on the classic pitch

My friend Nick and I went to Zion a couple summers ago to climb this beautiful rock. This is a picture of me leading this beautiful pitch of Moonlight Buttress. It started to rain when I was about half way up. I stayed dry because there is a large roof overhead. It was a different story for my balayer. We rapped off due to the rain. The sandstone weakens to 1/3rd its strength when wet.
