Why is nutman's belayer laughing? They must be laughing for joy, now that Nutman has appeared on the scene. He practically *flew* up this, his first route.

Wow, nutman has big feet! He has big hands, too! You all know the old expression: Big hands, big feet... Two out of three ain't bad! Nutman's a good sport!

Nutman saves the day on his first route "The Porking Express". Thanks, Nutman! Let's all hope Nutman is around the next time he's needed!

Nutman's first appearance. He had a little issue with the parquet floor in his socks, but he still saved the day. He just, um, ran into a few walls. I'm sure he'll get it all worked out!

The dead tree up the crack was removed, then I used my fingers, and my tool to clean it up. Finally it was ready for my nuts to go to work! It hurt (sharp tight crack) but it was well worth it!

With rain pouring down all around and over her, Natascha starts to get her aid systems dialed as the climb continues.

On her very first aid lead, having never even seen it done before, happy_cat has already figured out how to top step her aiders. Note, too, how she ignores the rain pouring off the rock all around her.

Allison sets up for the crux moves on this superb route on the very overhanging wall of Waimea.

Allison sizes up the next sequence on this very pumpy climb, Waimea, considered one of the very best 5.10s at Rumney.

It was only raining lightly on Rough Boys, a super-fun 5.10a trad line. Only 60 feet, but the climb packs a lot of fun into that little space. Short and sweet, just like the climber. ;) --Photo by Eric McCallister

Fighting the pump as I grease off all the holds on this pumpy 5.10d. God I was a sweaty mess.

Jen rallies her strength before heading into the 20 foot crux on Tarzan, a steep and technical 5.8. Sustained, with jams, laybacks, stems, slopers, and crimps. If you can lead this climb, you can lead any trad 5.8!

Allison is cruising through the crux of pitch two of the Whitney-Gilman Ridge. The route was a conga line that day, but everyone was moving along well, and Allison we all made good time. And we all had good times!

Allison cruises Bunny, a fine long 5.3 at the Gunks.

Not sure of the route, but it was a cruise for Allison to second.

Ambler begins the exciting traverse on the Gunks classic Horseman.

Chris finishes the traverse out onto the exposed nose of the classic Gunks 5.5, Horseman. Now, somehow, you've got to reach that next jug and go up!

Having finished Frog's Head, Chris enjoys the view from the start of the GT ledge. It is his last visit before moving out West.

Sometimes climbers just seem to belong - to be part of the natural setting. This was one of those times. GymnastC cruises the classic Gunks route "Easy V".
