Leading on iceShort warm up route to start the day climbing. The temperature was unusually warm, just below the freezing mark. Clear skies, nice blue ice there is nothing else to ask for.

Friday afternoon funTook the day off work to go climb on an absolutely gorgeous day. Still in black fly season, we got spared that day... no bugs showed up. We were trying a 5.8ish route on the center wall at Rigaud.

More fun on a FridayMe trying to find out where the flip did this route go.
Doing this beats the shins out of being cooped up in my office at work... Photo taken by Steve, perced up on a ledge.

Curtain CallThis curtain is beside the Saddam Le Chochard. On a whim we dropped a top rope then rapped to the begining of the curtain, about 15 feet off the ground and started climbing... a few prayers were said for the thing not to come crashing down.

Tante JanetTop roping on Tante Janet. I'm trying the harder variation of it (WI3). I had lead the normal route rated WI2 to set up the anchor.

Sans Nom And Predateur VolantThis pic shows 2 routes, Sans Nom and Predateur Volant (at the extreme right of the image) On that day the ice was pretty thin but still very climbable. A friend of mine did the FA of Predateur Volant (WI3+) It's a great ice crag, but it will be so much better when the ice is thicker.

Les DiablettesGreat pitch! 45 meters of ice. We installed top ropes at the way top and rapped down. Conditions were too soft to place any screws... it's still early in the season.

The rock face about to be TR'edWe had just gotten to the spot.
I snapped this pic right before setting up the TR anchor.
I like the little lens flare effect that came out.. Not intentionally and no photoshop

The warm up routeOnce the TR anchor set up, one can begin to climb.
Great easy route with lots of good hand holds and footholds.
Perfect for n00bs (like me).
