My first time since surgery was at a gym on tr. I got these when my partner (who ouweighs me by 50 or 60 pounds) fell.

This is the matching bruise on the other side! I'm feeling giddy about gym climbing (and bruising)- its silly, I know.

This is the last belay bruise. That appendage is my left leg. I WENT CLIMBING! MY WRIST IS HEALED! *backflip*

This is an x-ray of my left hand five weeks post-op. That thing that looks like a screw...is a screw!

The blue thing is a low-thermal plastic brace which provides stability for the healing of my scaphoid fracture. I wear it 24/7, and will begin therepy in a couple weeks.

Under the lovely Steri-strips and incision lies my scaphoid and the (permanent) screw holding its pieces together. I had surgery 3 weeks ago. Look ma, no cast!

Anyone who can guess correctly (PM me): 1.) Bear's location 2.) Where I dirtbagged night before 3.) A good name for the bear Will win something! =)

Follow ledge past the base of the chimney, and up the route variation on your way to the water cracks, and this is the view.

I wish the warm glow of an autumn setting sun reflecting off granite was adequately captured on film.

This is outside Yosemite and not yet in Tuolumne Meadows. Its a view point / rest stop. and NO thats not snow, its granite! :P

Dave1 led to the top of it, and set top rope with cam, sling, and biners. We had some inexperienced kids with us who really got a kick out of it. I, on the otherhand, just tried to get my body IN it. Tis a little bit of a squeeze if you are over the age of 12 and do not have the chest and/or butt type called "flat."
