Meaghan Smith stemming on the sharp end of a J-Tree classic. She couldn't remember the name, though Caughtinside has answered that mystery.

"Mitch Comstein, Ty Webb's college roommate was a night climber. ... He was night climbing, just climbing at night with the fifteen-year-old daughter of the Dean..."

35 years ago, while a senior in high school, I used to skip classes and climb on this then undeveloped cliff. We put up 8-10 all trad lines up some of the most obvious lines. Since then it sat untouched, largely because of questionable access, but in the last year the access issues were resolved and there has been a flurry of new routing activity. We have done a ton of discreet scrubbing, trimming, and trail work, and the cliff now boasts 45 climbs ranging from 5.5 - 5.11+ on amazingly featured granite.

Sometimes all it takes is some judicious scrubbing to open up a new line. Hidden beneath the Umbilicaria Mammulata (Rock Tripe Lichen) was an amazing series of holds and shallow cracks on a beautiful white face.
