I know it's not climbing related, but I took this photograph near the summit of Mauna Kea on the island of Hawai'i. It really does look like another world up there...

This is the marker at the summit of Mauna Kea on the island of Hawai'i. It's almost 14,000 feet above sea level, the highest point in Hawai'i. Don't worry, if that sounds higher than you think you can hike, just get in a car and follow the road up to about 300 feet from this point! That's wilderness ethics at its best!

|
This is one of the best photographs that I got of Mauna Kea on my trip. I hope that if I ever return, there will be fewer clouds allowing for more visibility. I just set this to my desktop wallpaper.

I like the perspective of this photograph. I believe this one showcases the setting of this climb more so than it does me.

To be totally honest, there are only a handful of routes here, but if you've never been to Makapu'u, here's the view you've been missing. Every time I go there, the ocean is the same beautiful blue. The sky is a different story, especially during the rainy season.

I'm not sure if this route is even in the route DB right now. It starts in a chimney on the far left side on the Wind Tower. It's the first route I got to climb in Eldorado Canyon and it was a lot of fun.

This is me on the wide part of the crack on Chunky Monkey. My climbing partner was talking about climbing barefoot and I decided to give it a try.

I took this photograph at Mokuleia Wall near Ka'ena Point on the island of O'ahu, Hawai'i. YMCA Camp Erdman is visible in the left-hand side of the picture. I think that words never will do justice for this photograph.

This is me on one of the countless hand-cracks in Red Rocks. I like the way this shot captues the Red Rocks background and myself in the foreground.

This is the view from the top of Maryland Heights, directly across the river from Harpers Ferry, West Virginia.
Note the ruined old bridges across the Potomac and Shenandoah Rivers. Also visible is the site of John Brown's 1859 raid on the armory.
