We got up early and got onto the Headstone just as the sun started to shining onto it.

The view of Moss Island from the top of the Crucifix in October of '04. Top-roping dominates the Island as bolts are frowned on and few routes accept good gear placements. The lock is visible in the lower right corner.

Here I am hamming it up at the top of Prince of Darkness in May '04. I was almost as excited to reach a ledge big enough to sit down on as I was to climb the route.

Fred P is my favorite route on Moss Island. The lower crux is the only part that's harder without shoes; the rest of the holds are big enough that it doesn't matter.

I finally made a lead attempt on this beautiful, thin, sustained corner and took a fall shortly after this picture was taken. Maybe next time I'll get it clean.
