You expect me to climb with them!

Average Rating = 3.00/5 You expect me to climb with them!

And you thought your #4 was too big for fun. A proper trad rack is given proper evaluation. (ok, so the #12 might be a bit excesive, but hey, how else would you protect that 5.6 chimney?)

Big Swing

Average Rating = 2.00/5 Big Swing

Oh crap, i dropped my jumar.... just kidding. Its hard to see, but there i am in the bottom right corner, way above the valley floor, the cathedrals in the background giving some scale. The porch swing is such a killer ride almost a ropelenght of swing/fall. Check out Tom's movie 'Action Adept' for some great footage of this monster whipper.

Perfect Balance at 1400 feet

Average Rating = 3.36/5 Perfect Balance at 1400 feet

The long line at the Rostrum is a little over 90' long, and plenty high up. metoliusshawn demonstrates his perfect technique on the line. (sorry about the bland colors, i cant make the slide scanner really get the colors of the photo)

Hope i don't Hit the wall.

Average Rating = 3.50/5 Hope i don't Hit the wall.

Another shot of the porch swing on the summit of El Cap. You can see i am in fact attached to a rope in this one and not about to meet a very gristly and flat death far below. And yes, you can in fact hit the wall, or brush it at the absolute apex of the first swing, pretty amazing.

Metoliusshawn on Rostrum Higlines

Average Rating = 3.33/5 Metoliusshawn on Rostrum Higlines

Metoliusshawn walks the longest of the Rostrum Highlines set up in the summer of '03. The line was about 90' long and is one of the commonly set up lines on the Rostrum.

i love the feel of this photo, it seems to convey that day well. the great energy, the awesome lines, the general fun of hanging out in the Valley. It also shows a bit of the commercial side of climbing, but hey, there were some great shots that day. For some great fotage of the lines and other vertical tomfoolery from that summer check out Tom's movie 'Action Adept' (he's the one with the video camera).

big wall pirate (mug shot)

Average Rating = 0.00/5 big wall pirate (mug shot)

Me doing my best to fit the role of big wall hardman pirate. Actually me about to drop off into the abyss on the porch swing on the top of El Cap. (thus the two ropes heading directly to my left in the photo) heck of a ride. other than that, just a funny profile pic.
