David On the approach to pigeon spire

Emilie finishing up the second pitch of Grilmair's Chimneys on Yamnuska, near Calgary. The snow on the ground made for cold feet. Poor Emilie was on her second multipitch ever, and contrary to the bright smile on her face had just surpased her psychological crux of the route.

The sun was setting as we started to head down from Grillmair's chimney's. I liked the effect of the sun and the clouds.

The view from the top was spectacular. This is why I climb.

Emilie and Seyil follow the second pitch of Easy Street (5 pitch 5.5) Good fun pitch. Just a wee bit run out... :-)

Emilie was on belay for the second traversing pitch. This was shortly before I lost sight of them.

Picture was taken a little over a year and a bit ago. I was dressed in full ninja gear :). We had been planning to do some rock climbing but the weather was poor so we tried the mountain. We were so unprepared for the attempt, it was great. We turned back about 200' from the top.

This is me. I am me, sheesh what else am I supposed to put in this!
