This is a great, sustained climb, well bolted, pretty great movement. I recommend it.

Justus on Peer Pressure(5.10d), Rumney

Average Rating = 3.00/5 Justus on Peer Pressure(5.10d), Rumney

Great pumpy route at Bonsai. I would recommend not clipping the pin near the top, its right where you need to keep moving and the clip is pretty tricky compared to the rest of the route.

Justus on an unknown ice climb in Gloucester, MA

Average Rating = 0.00/5 Justus on an unknown ice climb in Gloucester, MA

Here I am on one of my first leads. No route beta is readily available so it was fun to feel like I was doing a first ascent even though these lines have been climbed since the '70s.

Posing on top of Dissapointment Peak

Average Rating = 2.00/5 Posing on top of Dissapointment Peak

The climb up was great but the descent down the Snow Couloir was more than we should really have done. We had our ice axes but only light hiking boots and no crampons meaning the step kicking was durn strenuous. We glissaded for a bit but it gets kinda steep and narrow at points. We also found a dead deer in the couloir. We started a small rockslide in the couloir;s moat and watched the blood squirt out of the carcasse with each rock--pretty gruesome. We were going to head up to the lower saddle that night but got a little lost on the "climbers trail" that descends down into garnet canyon on the other side of the lake. That and a lightning storm made us bail. Lauren was hypothermic by the time we reached Gros Ventre. Photo by Lauren DeMattia.

Justus climbing Gossamer (5.7)

Average Rating = 0.00/5 Justus climbing Gossamer (5.7)

An amazing route pointed out to us by a guy at the local gear store. Black hills were truly an amazing place: great camping, great climbing--great faces, great places--that's the state moto of South Dakota I think. Photo taken by Lauren DeMattia.

Lauren leads unnamed 5.6

Average Rating = 0.00/5 Lauren leads unnamed 5.6

This was taken on our roadtrip this past summer. Our first day at Rushmore we met a nice man out for an afternoon's solo who showed us this route. It was a great introduction to Rushmore climbing!

Canadien Rockies from Plane

Average Rating = 0.00/5 Canadien Rockies from Plane

I took this out of my plane window on my way to Alaska and the Chugach Range. I was amazed the photo showed so much detail through those terrible airplane windows.

I fell out, and if you look closely you can see which is the only finger sticking out of the glove, showing me how it feels...
