Snake DikeFirst trip out of KC. Swung leads. Usually 80 ft to a bolt then 80 more to a two bolt belay. The edges of the original photo had yellowed before I scanned.

Wilton Big Roof AttemptPart of sequence tryin to lead the big roof. You can either climb from the left and traverse under the roof or smear straight up to the roof. We found the direct route after falling after leading the traverse

First Attempt to lead Darth AiderMore classic trad garb. After resting on outter edge of my right shoe in the scar by my elbow, took a winger onto the piece below my feet. Later was successfully lead by Eric Forney (who was belaying me around the corner in a hanging belwy).

FFA (but still a butt shot)Not a great pic but it was the first ascent. Piece under the roof pulled when I cleared the roof. I was looking at a ground fall doing the smear move that comes next. The flake above the roof is hollow so a cam probably will come out. Named it Kansas City but none of the locals knew so it didn't get in the guide book like that. Early 80's.

Starlight TheaterPut up a route for Alison Osius to climb for a Girl Scout Jamboree. Didn't need to protect the route from kids (or adults) from getting on because the starting moves to get to the first hold are at least solid 5.9 using only the existing brick. I believe Alison rated the overall route 5.10

Darth Aider Successfully TRed but couldn't leadEarly 80's. Great TR problem but a very tough lead. Taking off your hands to try to place cams is very tough.

Classic Trad outfitKloberdanz
Notice the shorts, socks and RR's. Got on first try using the Brashear's method but my knee popped because my heel was twisted in the pocket. This was the height of my trad career! No rack because we were just doing the crux then dropping off!
