Incredible view of El Cajon mtn's prow with the morning light hitting it. Typically you could see all the way to the coast from this spot with such a clear sky. On this morning there was a sea of clouds stretching all the way to the mtn itself.

The rain narrowly missed us the day we climbed the regular route on fairview dome. We were getting a little frightened when we saw streaks of water running off Daff Dome, just on the other side of the road.

Tom passing what the guide book calls the crux of the route. We couldn't decide wether we were dissapointed or relieved that it was not. The exposure was enough of an intimidation factor. It was still a fun 5.8+/5.9 move however.

The pro gets pretty thin where Tom is at in this picture. We just ran it out and found better pro just around the corner of the climbers right.

The friction makes for great footing and probably the most enjoyable pitch of the entire route.

Gordy just after making the supposed crux move of the route. We all agreed that P2 offered much more difficulty than P4.

Gordy making what the guide book calls the crux move of the route... it's not. The 3 of us agreed it felt like a 5.8+, maybe 5.9 move with good protection.
