Chalked HandChalk gets in everywhere, even under the nails, but is so handy (excuse the pun)

Backside of SteeplesBackside of Steeples is pretty much always in shade and looks out over the Cogmanskloof in Montagu.
Belay area slopes up all the way to the top of Steeples where you can look down over both sides.

The TurtleThe Turtle area gets its name from, well, the turtle. This landmark is kinda only visible if you've ambled past the section.
Other famous landmarks in the Topside area include mutant snails, brains, elusive drowning pigs, beheaded rhinos, dead poodles and much much more.

Carl Corked on FawltyCarl Bellingan past the first crux. This route sits near the far bottom end of Fawlty Towers. Belay point is a bit narrow but by no means dangerous.

Carl on AfricaAfrica Anything at Peer's Cave is one of those very popular beginners routes in the Cape.
It is also a great photographic point. Simply anchor into "Visions" and lean over with a wide angle lens.
(Wide angle also helps to make it look higher than the stone's throw it is)

Sybren on the rude one.Sybren has a funny habit of climbing up and back down routes.
Shouldn't complain, makes belaying easier and gives longer rope life.
