Early September and the days were starting to get shorter. Snapped this picture of my partner, Jeff L. rappelling down from Rainbow bridge at Barrier.

Takakkaw Falls is the second highest watefall in Canada and one of the classic ice climbs in the area. This route gives you a different perspective of the falls. The climb takes you to a cave which spits you out at the mouth of the falls. Climb early in the day to avoid getting wet.

Jeff Litster on Grassi Ridge. I think Sean Dougherty's book has a typo... instead of 300 m, it should probably read 800 or 900 m! Fun climbing on variable rock... what else is new in the Rockies?

Jeff Litster on Takakkaw Falls route. Good quality rock with some interesting moves. The crux pitch leads up the face to the left of the falls... amazing!

At the belay station halfway up Eisenhower Tower on Castle Mountain. Almost retreated because the weather was starting to look ugly. Aside from a few 10-minute periods of hail, most of the bad weather seemed to go around us.
