Moon Mountain from the NE.

Average Rating = 0.00/5 Moon Mountain from the NE.

Lots of bolts for all you timid folks. Routes generally follow the waterstains & depressions. This rock gets HOT! I got huge blisters on my hips when I was putting up routes in '96.

Al 'atl, Wadi Ad Disah, Saudi Arabia

Average Rating = 3.50/5 Al 'atl, Wadi Ad Disah, Saudi Arabia

Al 'atl is the centerpiece of the main canyon at Ad Disah, but by no means the largest tower in the area. Al 'atl is close to 250m (800 feet) from base to summit, has never been climbed, and has the black patina of desert varnish reminiscent of Black Velvet Wall.

N. Face, Main Crag

Average Rating = 2.00/5 N. Face, Main Crag

The north face of the main crag at Umm Surayah. To the far right are some "kiddy slabs" with 6 top-rope bolts. The top of the main crag can be ascended or descended along the right or left skylines (generally 3rd class with a couple of exposed but easy 4th or 5th class moves). Bolted belay/rappel stations are located just under the summit cap and in the belay cove seen midway down the waterstains directly under. These are full-pitch rappels (2).

North Face, Faisal's Finger

Average Rating = 0.00/5 North Face, Faisal's Finger

The Tourist Route ledge is seen in the lower left, below the subsidiary tower. The North Face Chimney ascends the obvious chimney on the right side of the face. The perched chockstone of the final pitch of the Tourist Route is visible high in the upper chimney. Dave Black, 2006
