Testing the strength of a double headed figure of eight with one ear not attached. Conclusive evidence states that this is just as secure as though it had both ears attached. The load strand fails, the ear doesn NOT pull through.

Shem Barnes deep water soloing at the Pindari Dam in northern New South Wales. Pindari Dam is located near Macintyre Gorge and Ashford. During recent rains the waterfall started gushing so we all went to check it out and a couple of brave souls jumped in to the large pool below the falls necissitating a climb out to take another jump. Good times.

Matt Eaton getting all scrunched up in his route called A Kneebar Too Far 15 metre Oz grade 29. He is only a smidge away from ticking the FFA on this project. He has been working it now for about 6 months. He is putting every effort into ticking it with single minded determination. It is all consuming. Every day he trots up the hill to the huge cave on the front face of Mt. Coolum on Queenslands Sunshine coast and he puts in 3 laps working it. Luckily he lives only two minutes away from the cliff.

Lee Cujes ticking his well hard project which has now received the very apt name, The Simon Vos Memorial. Simon Vos died in a tragic canoeing accident on the Severn River in northern New South Wales last Saturday and the same day Lee ticked this route. Simon had bright red hair and this route goes right up through the bright orange to red rock in an otherwise ocean of black foreboding rock. Very apt indeed that the brightest section of rock now stands as a beacon to Simon who will be sorely missed.

Theresa started up Pendulus 30m 23 far too late in the day. As you can see the light is dimming quickly in the west and she got no further than this. Headtorches had to be gotten to finish the route in the dark using prussiks and other jiggery pokery involving the camera man who was on a handy rope nearby.
