The last chimney on Earth Angel Spire. Up next is a nice handcrack. This climb was a send-off for Bill (Tauru) and Tim.

After backpacking down the Nankoweap Trail we set up camp near the Colorado River. When looking out from camp toward the rim (over a mile up) on the second day, we caught this view of the smoke from a forest fire on the rim, the crescent moon on the left, and the silhouette of Mt. Hayden in the center. Although we were worrired about our cars on the rim, the sight was truly awe inspiring. The pic doesn't do it justice. Photo by Frank Fischer.
