Jim Marozzo and I on Whitney Summit14:45 hours from trailhead back to Whitney Portal. Weather was hot and thundershowers threatening last 4 hours of descent. Amazing climb -- recommend base camp sleep over to really enjoy the trip. We summited Humphrey's Peak two days prior to climbing Whitney, then drove 1500 miles home. Wow . . . what a marathon trip.

Rainier - August 2004 (Camp Muir)Trip to Rainier (Julie Lilienkamp and Andy Vickers) 8/13/04 - 8/15/04. From Paradise to Muir is approx. 10,100 feet. Weather can change drastically along the snowfield - take precautionary measures when traveling (ie whiteouts, extreme fluctuation in temperature, etc.)
