This is Laura L. age 14 attacking the crux of Gargantua in the Old Sandstone area of Devil's Lake, Wisconsin. The route starts off hard, with a large roof about 15 feet up. It's a great challenge for the determined climber, and delivers a strong sense of satisfaction. The photographer here was Ron L, Laura's Dad.

This picture depicts Laura L. half-mantling, half-pulling herself over Gargantua's roof. At this point, laura could see two great handholds, but they were just out of reach, and she had to make-do with tiny finger grips. Once again, the persistent photographer was her dad, Ron L.
