Head Pointing "Hanging 30"The story behind this one... There is an easy highball up the left side of this arete to get to the point at the top. There is also a roof line straight up the middle which was calling my name. About 20 feet up you hit the roof section with good holds but then you have to do a huge chuck over a lip to a hidden jug. Not wanting to back slap from 20 feet I decided to "Head Point" the rig. 2 small wires in the roof with dubious placements and a 20 minute plea to my belayer to let me do it (he didn't want to be involved if the wires snapped or pulled) and I scored the FA! Looking forward to the solo next...

Stolen FAJeremy steals the FA of this amzing problem right out from under me. I worked on it last year and was psyched to FA it this summer. Jeremy jumped on with me and after some really close attempts got the send. Thats what you get for showing stronger younger climbers your projects!

First Ascent of Super CruiserJeremy onsights the FA of this classic problem. Super steep, yet follows huge jugs. These lead to a commiting mantle over the top. At only V2 you really just need to flex your mind muscle for the send on this one!

Firsts Ascent of Uber CruiserGrahm enjoying the FA of this high ball classic. Even though its overhanging the huge incut holds only make for a V1. Its nice to have a few pads for the 20 foot top out though!

Second ThoughtsJeremy about 20 feet up wondering what the hell he is doing up there. Oh ya, those damn jugs keep making you climb higher.

Claim JumperSticking the cruxy jump catch. Fire off some small crimps up this overhanging problem to the "Claim Jumper" move. After that some technical (scary) top out moves lead to the exit slab. Photo: Jorge Moines

To top rope or not to top rope...This awesome wall has huge cobbles and a bit of an overhang. Lines in the 5.11 to 5.12 range. Definetly tall enough to top rope but...maybe with better shoes!

Beautiful section of wallI had to stop and get a photo of this section of cliffline. The cave looks fun but if you look right you can make out a lone pocket begging to be grabbed 3/4 of the way up the wall.

Shape ShifterTom Murphy getting the second ascent after barely letting the holds cool after the FA.
Shape Shifter 12c - 50m - 17 bolts plus Ring and chain anchor - Clip the first bolt from the top of the boulder using a locker to minimize fall potential.. Scramble back down and climb out the roof and then past the first bolt. An attentive belayer can keep you safe going for the second bolt. Powerful and tricky moves lead to excellent and ever changing climbing terrain above.
