Hanging Belays on the Lost Horse Wall

Average Rating = 1.00/5 Hanging Belays on the Lost Horse Wall

Unknown climbers on various routes (Bird on a Wire? Dappled Mare?). I took this after topping out on Rock Candy, one of the routes on the Shorter Wall (Rock Garden Valley), which forms the backside of the Lost Horse Wall.

I even look like a boulderer

Average Rating = 2.25/5 I even look like a boulderer

Note the beanie and tape. It was cold and windy in the morning so we decided to start off the day at the Arete Boulders. Photo by Alan Thong.

Joshua Trees, Rocks ... and a Mountain?

Average Rating = 2.00/5 Joshua Trees, Rocks ... and a Mountain?

I was getting bored and cold belaying while my partner complained his way up the slab start of Right On; I turned to look elsewhere and was rather surprised to see an actual mountain. Luckily with my point and shoot digital I could keep my hand on the belay and take this picture. If anybody knows what this mountain is I'd really like to know.

Mt. Conness

Average Rating = 1.33/5 Mt. Conness

Me on my way back down Mt. Conness (class 2/3). This ledge with a long drop to my right was a bit sketchy.

The True Horn of Route 57

Average Rating = 3.17/5 The True Horn of Route 57

On the true horn of Traitor Horn. Crux seemed to be the traverse. Gear is a red alien behind a flake that would probably break off, and two pitons of rather questionable quality.
